Saskia Vester

Saskia Vester was born in 1959 in Saarbrücken. After attending the Neue Münchner Schauspielschule, she played in theatres from 1981 on, at the Komödie am Bayerischen Hof in Munich, among others. Besides that, she starred (from 2000 on solely) in many highly awarded TV and cinema productions and TV series. For instance, WER FRÜHER STIRBT IST LÄNGER TOT (2005) has been awarded with the Advancement Award for Best Director at the Filmfest Munich in 2006. In the TV series KDD-KRIMINALDAUER-DIENST, which was awarded with the Grimme Preis for Best Cast, she was already able to act a little more free than in regular TV productions. In BEAT BEAT HEART, she successfully gives proof of her passion and talent for improvisation methods for the first time in a full-length feature.
